JOB DESCRIPTION:

Recruit for exempt and non-exempt, technical and non-technical, temporary and regular full time openings. Post jobs on: Internet sites (Monster, professional organizations, networking groups, diversity organizations, etc), company intranet sites, and EDD. Develop college recruiting and internship programs. Continually communicate verbally and in writing with management via weekly reports on status of openings. Complete and maintain interview and recruiting records, reports, and data for Affirmative Action Plan (AAP). Source, screen, set appointments, interview, background / reference check candidates. Streamline and re-design the recruitment function. Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies, as well as update and manage employee referral program, plus attend job fairs. Excellent verbal and written communication, follow-up and customer service skills. Highly organized with excellent administrative, and computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Analyze and provide staffing metrics for reports and meetings. Take the lead for implementing a new HRIS recruitment/tracking system Ceridian, Resource Hire, and work with hiring managers to ensure they are effectively trained and using the system. Present a professional image to the Management Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA (technical field preferred), 5-15 years progressive experience and proven track record in technical recruiting and HR generalist in DoD / Defense or Aerospace related manufacturing / engineering design environment as a regular full time employee rather than a temporary or consultant. Expert knowledge of: CA and Federal employment laws and regulations, OFCCP employment regulations for Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), and recruiting procedures and practices for Defense / DoD industries. At least 5 years experience managing and using applicant tracking software, prefer Ceridian Resource Hire, and at least 5 years of experience recruiting engineers. Individual must have technical recruiting experience.
