High Jamming Tolerance
- Essential
for operation in a tactical battlefield
environment. TruNav
tm
is designed with
a number of adaptable parameters to
mitigate jamming. It includes an ultra
tightly coupled GPS/IMU integration,
which allows GPS tracking at higher
(10-15 dB) J/S than with conventional
tracking loops, with software only.
Direct Y-Code Acquisition
-
Direct Y-code acquisition is essential
in a high jamming environment.
The IEC receiver portion of TruNav
design implements a time hold
mode to retain initialization data and
propagate GPS time, the actual time
of projectile.
Ultra Fast Acquisition
-
This is particularly important for short
missions since the missile is usually
not tracking satellites prior to firing.
In addition, fast acquisition means
a longer control period during flight
time and lower (up-range) jammer
levels for initial IMU calibration.
DDC
- <4 Sec TTFF @ 55 dB J/S.
Newly patented Direct Deep Coupling
(DDC) is L-3's latest technology
that uses our proven deep coupling
algorithms for initial GPS acquisition
providing ultra fast TTFF in high
jamming (at J/S levels most receivers
are not able to track).
